Playtime
Hi folks
where does the time go, my second lot of Dylusions inks have arrived and now have two Dylusions stamps sets to play with this weekend. What happened to my first lot of inks you may well ask. Decided to do a right through clear out, saw some empty boxes and thought out you go, well didnt I throw out the box that Scrapadabadoo had filled for me which included the inks. So engrossed in chucking out I didnt check it carefully enough thought it was a cupcake machine which arrived broken, and they didnt want it back, nor was I going to send it back at the postage rate, it was only a fiver after all. Soooooo talk abour a raging Taz when I found out, not only that the binmen had comed and taken all my bags away ooooh for once the bin men were on time hah would you credit it. So I was given a little money towards my new inks and my darling mother wanted to watch me order it, to see the colous I would choose, she wanted to know what London Blue looked like and like Mother like daughter could not wait. Why go to US (sorry Barrie and Carol) when you can get it here, hmmm nope could not convince her so UK delivery has just arrived. Just as well I dont tell her about the amount I order from Barrie and Carol lol. They are fabulous, go onto scrapadabadoo.com and have a look. There prices are fab and not only that they have a fabulous business practice too. Lovely lovely ladies. Ok off to play ttfn.

Stampin Up Convention
Oooh all excited, going to crafting convention in Germany. Here is a sneak peek of my swops. The pink one has a piece of acetate on top mat which I dotted with embossing folder and stamped on underneath matting with sentiment.
These are for the general swop that goes on.
This is for a WOW swop, and the inside of the card is underneath.
This is for the fancy fold swop.
Cannot wait to see what I get back

Steel Die Storage
Hi folks
was asked how I stored my steel dies, and after several attempts at it have come up with something lol.
I use a magnetic sheet which is magnetic on one side only the other side I initially stuck to cardstock with the information on other side of cardstock, then I stuck them only on magnetic sheet, then went back to sticking magnetic sheet onto info that comes with dies. Made it easier than doing both sides of magnet.
I then store them in strong polypockets, I take off the clip part to enable more to get into my drawer.

My mojo has come back
At long last, my mojo came back. And also why does time have to fly so bloomin fast lol.
I have to thank jennings644 for the technique that inspired this little creation. Zombie Repellent Box.
Loving this effect, want to play with other colours for Christmas.

Inside the box is a bar of soap!!!! The mums loved this.
The top and three sides of the box were covered with artists modelling paste, then used vintage photo, rusty hinge and chipped sapphire distress re inkers and scooted with water to make them run and merge. I then put a touch of gilding paste on it, love that stuff.
Here is a close up of the top

Even my critical art teacher said it was good and I love it, so thats that lol.
I am soooooo chuffed to the knickers that I have done one. I have now to do a watercolour still life and then an acrylic or oil painting aaaargh ah well survived this can survive more.
would you believe that my iphone took a better photo than my camera!!!!!

Life has been so hectic but anyway managed to find my camera and finally show you the lovely tags I got in the Shabby Chic Tag Swop hosted by Follow the Paper Trail.
This tag is by craftylynn, the flowers at the bottom right are not as strong as this on the tag, my camera took it to another level doh, anyway it is a lovely peach colour and compliments the tag very well.
this tag is by Dori (sorry not sure of surname ?Tarbett) love the sentiment.
this tag is by J Taylor love the mix of elements they complement one another
Kathy Salazar did this tag, love the butterflies on the edge die, methinks I might need this one lol
Kathyjean51's tag, love the leaf element it is good thick chipboard and suits this tag very well, just realised after the fourth look the kraft card comes out lol
This tag is by Mamie Lou, hasnt she done fab. Love the mix of feathers and roses, need to use this idea lol.
Maureen Conway's tag love the 20's era to it and how she used the film strip. Need to get mine out and use it now.
Sorry but this one had I think three initials that I cannot interpret, if you know please email me so I can give due credit. Lovely blues in this one. Simple yet elegant.
Thoroughly enjoyed this swop would do it again.

Now this I understand the offside rule explained for women
You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have. The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses. It would be rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes. The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma. She prepares to throw her purse to you. If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes!
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and "whilst it is in flight" you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes!
BUT, you must always remember that until the purse has "actually been thrown", it would be plain wrong for you to be in front of the other shopper and you would be OFFSIDE! — pinched from the delirious Dyan Reaveley who first pinched it from the "gorgeous Claire Green"

Playtime
well I had to get the paper out as it is the May weekend and all that, so here is one I made for a swop and I was in a 3d mood and as I love shoes and handbags well what can I say lol.
tea shoppe stamp set, well with my brain I think outside the box when I look at something at a vase came to mind, could not be bothered to do the flowers lol so went with birdbath, maybe one day I will use it as a tea cup hee hee.
Didnt have silver paper so had to use silver embossing powder.
I am sooooo chuffed at how this has come out, love love it even though I say so myself lol.

Loadsa Glue
Whilst coughing and spluttering with horrid cold and wheezy chest made a lovely mini room divider (well thats what I call it anyway lol), Kathryn's brayer matched mine when it came to glueing lol.
I am not the greatest photographer so please forgive me.
Also made a tea box (sorry Kathryn not yours this one made out of cardstock), will be trying Kathryn's though for a tougher beating in my kitchen or perhaps my distress markers hmmmmm
oops rosette needs to be centred more.

Tartan Stampers Mini Convention
Hi there, have been sooo busy havent had the time to post. Was at a three day crop with the Tartan Stampers and amongst things we did shoebox swops and scrapbook pages. For those who dont know what a shoebox swop is we each bring a kit and a sample for people to follow and we go around and make these, we had 26 boxes, several classes of scrapbook pages, mini album, kusadama ball. It was a ball. So here is my version of the cards we made.
Sorry girls didnt put on the back whose shoebox it came from so cannot attribute them :(
only did half a ball as I wanted it for a topper on a box
this is done on a canvas, think I want butterflies next time
friends together
methinks more flowers and a pic is needed
love this as wall art instead of a scrappage
couple missing, when I find them will post them.
