My Favourite Crayon

Have you ever bought a paper collection and though why did I get that!!!!  Well I did with the Bobunny Zip A Dee Doodle Paper collection.  Sheesh not my colours, not my style must have had a blond moment.  Picked it up then put it down again several times.  Then found it again and decided to look at it do I use it, give it away hmmmm.  Then I had a eureka moment the monochromatic side of the papers perfect for making a mini album for a youngster.  They can colour in the paper and keep notes, pictures, whatever in it.  Get them started on scrapbooking.  I then came across a chipboard album and hey presto My Favourite Crayon album was born.  I dug into my dies box, love my bigshot er even adore it lol to use with this album.

So got the BoBunny Zip A Dee Doodle Paper collection and decided what ones to use and found I needed a sheet of each.  I used the black chipboard Tall Album and it went well together.


I used the acetate as the front page with chipboard pieces from the collection.  I then layered it over a page and left it relatively blank for the youngster to do their own front design.  I added a little chipboard bow at the top just as a wee note.  I accidentally punch a hole in the wrong side oopsy but you could add a charm, ribbons etc whatever the youngster wants.



I have a lovely die called Lifestyle Crafts Pocket Die Set, loving the look of it, took two diecuts and used them to make a pocket.  As it is an intricate front I put some cardstock behind so you can easily take the tag in and out.  A chipboard tag was added to the front as a closure.



I love the shadow box that Debi Schnabel put up and was used as a challenge on Scrapadabadoo Crafts, and it fit nicely on one of the sides, I used an A4 sheet and the scoring was perfectly aligned with any size of paper, yippee, can make any size shadow box now.  I had some Tim Holtz sticky tissue paper roll in the back of my desk so decided to use that which can be colour that in as well.

I so love the LIfestyle Crafts Treat Pocket Die and use it everywhere I can lol.

Put a chipboard arrow on top of tag just for a pop of colour.

Two envelopes 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”, you gotta love that envelope board

makes the envelopes to fit your work.  I don’t need to have a ton of envelopes just in case now.

I used the top flap cut down to use as a hinge for them, enables the young un to access the patterned paper for colouring.

This one used the Cottage Cutz Large Confectionery Bag

(aside hmmm need to get the other two – ooooh Carol lol)

Two on top, two on bottom, hinged to flip open sideways right and left.

A circular paperclip to keep them closed.

Er did I mention this is for a young un, hmmm well adults can colour in too it is very soporific.

Have fun making it, I did.

PEN POT

Well it can by anything really lol.  Ok Blondie here loses things on her desk - hmm no secrets there.  So needed something to corral the little peskie beggers likes of pens, pencils a few tools.  So decided to make a holder, now having gotten my wee handies on some Canning Jar diecuts and played with them, oooh loved it so went and bought the Sizzix Canning Jar die as well.  Looooove it.  Barrie and Carol you rock you get in amazing products.

Okies Pen Pot you say, get on with it - lol - okay its an easy one, the bairns can play with this one, fill it sweets, pencils whatever your wee heart desires lol.

Scrap paper was used but the bairns can used plain cardstock and they can write, draw, stamp whatever on it.

The back of the holder is a pocket and I used the smaller jar from the Sizzix Canning Jar Die
as the notes.

Made a wee pattern for this, have fun.

Scrapadabadoo Design Team - Use Your Stash

Hello folks, Mother’s Day in the UK has gone but I realised the US still have to have yours. 
So I thought a wee something for the bairns (children) to make.

When working with the nursery (pre-school) kiddies they loved to make something to use as a holder, sooooooooo I thought a wee holder for sweets, chocolate, scrapping goodies, flowers, scarf anything that they could put into it.

I thought they could make a TUSSIE MUSSIE and then decorate to their hearts content from your stash lol.  I used to get the wee ones to crayon over paper and then made the cone, they loved it.



I used some patterned paper I had in my stash (Bo Bunny Primrose), and a a lovely friend Char Huffman sent me some gorgeous ribbon to use as decoration for the handle and dangle.

I attached the ribbon handle with glue and put some lovely buttons over the top for decoration.
I made a wee dangle with some ribbon.

Scrapadabadoo Design Team–Boxed Memories

Hi,

so excited my first post as a DT member. 

I looove to scour through charity shops (US thrift stores) for bargains, its amazing what you can craft with out of these places.  Old VHS boxes are all over the place due to the DVD taking over, soooo had to do something with them lol - Mini Album.

I used the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Bundle , Kaisercraft 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad.  The beautiful colours were so appealing.  The papers were so gorgeous I did not want to over embellish but let the paper speak for itself, and some of the tags I left plain for the person receiving this to put pictures in without thinking they cannot because they don’t want to cover such lovely paper.

The charms came from one the charm bags from Scrapadabadoo I received some time ago. 



the May Art ribbon is such fun to work with.  Need to get more of this to play with.

Inside left I made an envelope hmmm glitter does not like sticking to itself but glossy accents prevailed lol.





The spine of the box I made an accordian fold spine to hold 3 envelopes.  I used a gorgeous die from Cottage Cutz – the Wishing Well this is soooo versatile to use.







on the right inside I did a waterfall – I love waterfalls you can get so many pictures in the one spot.







The spine I added a little cutout and a charm.

more gilding flakes how I love them

I love gilding flakes so much lol, you dont need a great deal to make a project pop.  This is a card.

I made a double pocket card and used an old BoBunny dotted dots paper I found in my stash.
Also used Tim Holtz Adage tickets Dream and Hope. The gildding flakes I used was Yorkshire Dales with a stamp from Stampers Anonymous Urban Tapestry, love that stamp so versatile.
The gate is a lovely die  Cottage Cutz Garden Fence/Gate from Scrapadabadoo (they have on sale as well)
