Tartan Stampers Mini Convention

Hi there, have been sooo busy havent had the time to post.   Was at a three day crop with the Tartan Stampers and amongst things we did shoebox swops and scrapbook pages.  For those who dont know what a shoebox swop is we each bring a kit and a sample for people to follow and we go around and make these, we had 26 boxes, several classes of scrapbook pages, mini album, kusadama ball.  It was a ball.  So here is my version of the cards we made.

Sorry girls didnt put on the back whose shoebox it came from so cannot attribute them :(

only did half a ball as I wanted it for a topper on a box

this is done on a canvas, think I want butterflies next time

 friends together
methinks more flowers and a pic is needed
love this as wall art instead of a scrappage

couple missing, when I find them will post them.

Jen challenged me to use something that I either didnt like in my workroom or use something I have not utilised yet the only thing I could think of was fabric.

Scrapadabadoo Card holder

Wanted to keep these gorgeous thank you cards from Barrie and Carol over at Scrapadabadoo, so decided to make a wee holder for them, each A4 sheet folds up to make 4 pockets, held them tog with ribbon, the only thing with ribbon is it slides lol.  A wee tip (lol) when putting eyelets in check which is the front side another blond moment, too busy trying to finish it, more patience required methinks.
Did cover the front, a) the paper is too gorjuss for that and b) it is going to be handled a lot so didnt want it catching and ruining the front cover.

Graphic 45 travelogue papers (of course)

used My Minds Eye Simply Delightful for the innards, wanted plain paper in case I wanted to journal something about each card.

Beads and Glue

Saw this done on utube with Jennings 644, she has some fab ideas go and see her vids.

Hot glue is what it says HOT, tried to glue my mouse, me, and anything in the way lol I should put up a notice when I use the glue gun to say dangerous implement in hands of blond lol.

Now will have to make the lace to go around these.

These are very addictive, love rummaging in my bead box. Now need some crystal beads hee hee.

Demo Day

Hi folks
Once a month I demo at my local craft/art shop, this working lark thought I had given it up, right enough I am playing with paper, glue and scissors so it cannot be that bad. Some pics of simple wedding cards I demo'd.  Tried to keep it simple to keep costs down and time for making invites down as well !!

as it was St Patricks Day that I demo'd thought it would be nice to do a green easel style invite card.

the pocket is on the base with the paper acting as a wedge to keep the easel part up.

Everyone loved this pocket, it is a simple folded A4 sheet of paper and there is a pocket in the front, in the back and between the two pockets as well.  The folded ribbon went down a treat.

another version with paper flowers
simple folded card opening up to show the invite

Table name holder, of course the name plate is upside down lol.  25 hearts glued together with a rolled paper stem.  Didnt have the time to colour or stamp it.

Pocket with cards showing what needs to be done and when it was done.

Another name plate

someone wanted an idea for a white card, but typical me wanted a touch of colour
so glitter on flowers and a gold organza bow.
